- Scan the QR code, or send to [donate@sharonma.org]. The recipient shows as Sharon Muslim Association.
- Enter $50 and write “Sadaqah” in the memo so it goes to the right fund.
Giving monthly? In Zelle, choose “Repeat” or “Recurring” and pick monthly. You can change or stop it any time in your bank app.
Need a tax receipt? Send us a message with your name and the date of your gift.

Employer matching
Many employers match charitable gifts. Ask your HR team or check your company’s giving portal (such as Benevity) for Sharon Muslim Association.
Stock or donor-advised fund
To give stock or recommend a grant from a donor-advised fund, contact us and we’ll send the details.
Questions about giving
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. SMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN [XX-XXXXXXX]), so donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
How is zakat distributed?
Zakat is kept separate from all other funds and given only to those eligible to receive it, as defined in the Quran (9:60). A volunteer committee reviews requests confidentially and distributes funds as quickly as possible.
How do I give monthly with Zelle?
In your bank’s Zelle screen, set the payment to repeat monthly. You can change or stop it any time in your bank app.
How do I get a tax receipt?
Send us a message through the contact form with your name, the amount and the date of your gift, and we’ll email you a receipt for your tax records.
Are there any fees?
Zelle doesn’t charge fees, so 100% of your gift reaches SMA.
